The Center for People with Disabilities (CPWD) is an Independent Living Center (ILC). CPWD is a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability, nonresidential, private, nonprofit agency. Services include an array of independent living services, which include the core services of information and referral, independent living skills training, peer counseling, individual and systems advocacy, a Senior Low Vision Program, Community Transition Services (transition from nursing home to community), Independent Living Program (basic life skills training program), and job readiness skills training.
