Visitation comes to a halt at Carlisle nursing home after 4 residents test positive for COVID-19

Patriot-News - 11/6/2020

Four residents at the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle are in quarantine after testing positive for the coronavirus, Cumberland County officials said.

Visitation at the home will stop for the time being out of safety concerns, unless the resident is near death, according to county spokeswoman Samantha Krepps.

The four residents who tested positive are in quarantine, Krepps said. Twelve staffers and six residents at Claremont have tested positive since the pandemic began.

Krepps said all residents and staff will be tested weekly until there are no more cases in the Claremont community.
