Site preparation work begins on veterans nursing home

Preliminary site preparation has begun at the location of the proposed Cherokee County veterans nursing home. An engineering firm has begun a topographical survey of the site near Hampshire Drive, Cherokee County Veterans Affairs Officer Todd Humphries said. The purpose of the survey is to determine how much fill dirt will be needed.
