Program helps students with disabilities transition to college

DOVER - Wesley College will present a free workshop titled "Students with Disabilities: Transitioning to College Life," at 6 p.m. on May 22 and 24 at the Dover Public Library.

The workshop will help college-bound students with disabilities understand the process of requesting and receiving Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations in college.

This workshop will present what is required to receive assistance and suggestions for advocating for ADA accommodations. In addition, understanding what the college is required to provide students with disabilities will be discussed.

The event will be held in Meeting Room A of the Dover Public Library. The event is free and open to anyone that might benefit from the information, but registration is required. To register call 736-7030. For additional questions call 736-2739.
