Senior farmers market vouchers available

OZAUKEE COUNTY - The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Ozaukee County is once again sponsoring the distribution of $25 farmers market vouchers to eligible seniors of Ozaukee County.

These vouchers are used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from approved farmers markets and stands throughout the county. In 2016, more than 125 vouchers were distributed to seniors in Ozaukee County.

The distribution will take place Tuesday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the following locations:

* Port Washington Senior Center, 403 W. Foster St., Port Washington

* Range Line School Building, lower level, 11040 N. Range Line Road, Mequon

* Grafton Senior Center, 1665 Seventh Ave., Grafton

The vouchers are first-come, first-served to adults 60 years and better who meet the following financial guidelines:

* Household size 1, $1,860/month or $22,311/annually

* Household size 2, $2,504/month or $30,044/annually Proxy vouchers are available for home-bound seniors;
