Providing fun activities for adults with functional impairments and support for caregivers are central to OASIS Adult Day Services' mission.
OASIS serves adults 18 and older with cognitive impairments or other physical or social issues that prevent them from safely being left alone during the day. Some may be unable to care for themselves or perform activities of daily living.
OASIS has been caring for those with Alzheimer's, dementia and other cognitive impairments since 1995. The staff and volunteers work with individuals, understanding each one's mental, physical and/or social impairments while working toward increasing the quality of life for them as well as their families. OASIS monitors their health and well-being while encouraging psycho-social engagement and fun.
OASIS is a family-like environment that offers participants the best activities and fun for their lives. Participants enjoy individually tailored programs, parties, field-trips, music, art and pay-it-forward activities.
The adult day health-care program includes a comprehensive, individualized plan of care, structured therapeutic activities, health monitoring, medication administration, social services, counseling, personal care, with lunch and two snacks daily.
In addition, the Navigator's Club offers those in early diagnosis a place to work in an effort to improve their brain health.
Families can be confident that the staff at OASIS is taking great care of their loved ones while they have a chance to refresh themselves during their family member's visit at day care.
OASIS also offers monthly Caregiver Connection support groups and ongoing education programs.
The staff at OASIS is comprised of an executive director, registered/licensed nurses, family-assistance/social-services coordinator, certified nursing assistants, activity coordinator and therapy consultants. OASIS also has a dedicated group of volunteers that support participants and staff.
