Florida Times-Union - 8/14/2019

The Fleet Landing Community's Nancy House just received accreditation as a dementia care provider. Nancy House is a memory care neighborhood in Fleet Landing and, after an implementation process of 18 months, received the accreditation status from Comfort Matters, a nationally and internationally recognized dementia care program.

Although there are 36 communities in the nation that have this achieved this status, Fleet Landing is the first in Florida to receive this recognition. The Nancy House Neighborhood of the Fleet Landing Community specializes in residences for seniors with memory care issues. With the Comfort Maters program's accreditation, Nancy House is now a premier community for delivering care to seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

According to Tena Alonzo, director education and research at Comfort Matters, "The team at Fleet Landing has worked diligently over the past several months to enhance quality of life for people with dementia. The Fleet Landing Nancy House Neighborhood team has met and, in many cases, exceeded national standards for the Comfort Matters dementia program. They are an inspiration of hope to their residents, their families and the community."
